Be sure to check Intel for a revision before your Win 7 install.No, don't mess with your Vista install. Well, that discussion will continue and I am sure you have your own opinions. Now, can someone point me to Intel's driver for AHCI? With today's SATA II drives and now the ssd, it's not something that needs to be done frequently.

Windows 7 does inlcude an AHCI driver during installation, but it is a microsoft driver, not Intel. The floppy does not have that on it, the floppy has iaAHCI.inf, iaStor.inf, iaStor,sys,etc.What do I select from the floppy to pre-install? After this you’ll have to restart your computer, go to BIOS and enable AHCI.
